About Foreign Car Specialties

Foreign Car Specialties is a full service restoration shop with 37 years experience specializing in the restoration and repair of vintage British motorcars (1925-1980).

Founded by British vehicle enthusiast Jeff Lock in the early 1970’s, Foreign Car Specialties was borne out of Lock’s initial need to repair his own British motorcar while in college. Today, the business has grown to become of the only automotive restoration facilities in the country to focus specifically on complete high-end restoration, repair and customization of vintage British motor cars (model years 1925-1980). With 37 years’ experience, the craftsmen at Foreign Car Specialties thrive on the relentless and tenacious pursuit of perfection in their work.

As a result of the shop’s detailed and extensive restoration process, vehicles completed by Foreign Car Specialties not only become show-quality award winners; in many cases, they become family heirlooms, passed down from generation to generation. Our attention to detail and your one-time investment result in a restored vehicle and investment piece that will offer decades of usability.

For our customers, money is no object. Their primary desire is to possess the show-quality vehicle of their dreams. Many of our clients are repeat customers as well.
Specializing in rotisserie restoration, Foreign Car Specialties offers three levels of service: show quality, driver quality and custom work.

Our Show Quality restorations are for those clients who wish to spare no expense in the pursuit of Best in Class honors.

Our Driver Quality restorations are for those clients who want a solid, long-lasting restoration, but without the extreme attention to detail of the Show Quality restoration.
Our Custom restorations are for those clients who want to go beyond what the factory imagined with their car and make it a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.

Due to our intensive restoration process, we do not deal in volume. Most restorations are a one-time investment that typically involves a two-year process to complete. We take the time to ensure the job is done right the first time, and are motivated by a high level of craftsmanship and technical challenge.

Our shop offers a full range of metal forming capabilities and features such equipment as a large cast iron English wheel, large power shrinkers, adjustable-width louver-forming capabilities, as well as aluminum welding capabilities.
